Why Maintenance?
Today, water purification systems are used in homes and industrial businesses in many large cities because water pollution means mains water often cannot be used cleanly. This consequence of environmental pollution, particularly in large cities where the use of water purifiers becomes essential, can also lead to the contamination of the devices themselves. Filters located inside the devices can become contaminated and reduce the effectiveness of the purification process. For this reason, many users often ask the question: “How is a water purifier cleaned?”. The devices need to be cleaned using a special method.
Maintenance: How to Clean a Water Purifier with Filters?
Water purifiers, along with their internal filters, purify water by removing foreign contaminants, making it clean and healthy. These filters in the device need to be cleaned or replaced at specific intervals. Regarding the question of how to clean a water purifier, it should first be noted that while some filters can be washed, others absolutely must be replaced. Membrane filters, which are the main filters in the devices, should be cleaned or replaced once every 3 years, and taste-enhancing filters (or post-filters) should be serviced (cleaned or replaced) every 12-14 months. This helps prevent bacterial growth inside the device. In devices unused for 20 days or more, bacterial growth can be observed. The exterior of the devices should be cleaned once a week.
Maintenance: How to Routinely Clean a Water Purifier?
A specific program should be followed for regular maintenance and cleaning of water purifiers. This program provides the answer to how a water purifier is cleaned. First, the water valves are shut off, the housing containing the filter(s) is opened, and its interior is cleaned with water. The filters are then reinserted, the housing is closed, and the taste-enhancing filter (or post-filter) is removed using a wrench/tool and a new one is installed. After replacing the membrane, any filters that are no longer usable can be discarded. Finally, the storage tank should be filled with water and emptied 3 times.
