Carboys are produced using a chemical material called polycarbonate. Polycarbonate material contains an industrial chemical called BPA (Bisphenol A). Upon proof that it is carcinogenic, the production of BPA-containing products has been stopped in many countries, and their use has been banned. The ban on BPA-containing baby bottles is one of the most prominent examples Single-use PET bottles, on the other hand, contain phthalates, carcinogenic chemical substance that provides plastic flexibility, especially proven to cause infertility in men. For these reasons, even if bottled with the world’s healthiest natural spring water, carboy and PET bottle waters pose extremely dangerous and fatal risks.

Ideal drinking water should be purified of all harmful substances and should have pH and mineral levels appropriate in accordance with the criteria of Turkey and the World Health Organization. Reverse osmosis water purification systems possess membrane technology that can even turn wastewater discharged from the body, including seawater, into drinking water. In this way, it can filter out simple substances like sand and gravel, as well as bacteria and viruses.

While the Reverse Osmosis system purifies harmful substances in the water, it also filters out some of the minerals. Even if the body doesn’t meet all its daily mineral needs solely from drinking water, the amount of minerals in water produced with Boğaziçi Su Arıtma Systems is higher than in bottled water. Additionally, we can increase the mineral content of the purified water without using any chemicals, thanks to our mineral filter option consisting of natural stones.

We do not have a device that produces no wastewater. The amount of wastewater varies depending on the mains water’s contamination level and pressure. Our water purification systems discharge an average of 1.5 – 2 Liters of wastewater for every 1 Liter of clean water.

If the water pressure is low, a device with a pump should be preferred; if the water pressure is high, a device without a pump should be preferred. The pump activates when the water pressure is insufficient and increases the water pressure. For a device without a pump to be usable, the water pressure needs to be 3.5 – 4 bar. In all places where the pressure is below this value, a device with a pump must be used.

Filter replacement periods vary based on water consumption and the contamination level of the mains water. Generally, replacements should be done as follows:

-Pre-Filter Change: Every 6-12 Months
-Full Filter Change: Every 15-18 Months

The digital screen enables real-time water analysis. You can monitor filter replacement periods and check water conductivity on the screen. It also alerts you in case of any malfunction.

Water close to pure is obtained with 5-stage devices. An 8-stage device additionally includes “Alkaline, Mineral, and Detox” filters.

If your water’s hardness levels are above normal, you can add a limescale inhibitor filter, which we call the “SILIPHOS” filter, to your chosen device to extend the lifespan of the main filters. This additional filter helps you obtain healthier water and also prolongs the life of your device.

We do not currently offer a device that purifies saltwater.

Yes, we have a softening system that reduces limescale to a level of 0.01 (e.g., hardness units). This is an industrial-grade system.

The standard warranty period, as stipulated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is 2 years. However, an additional +3 years of company warranty is provided if filter changes are regularly performed by an authorized service using original filters. All issues not arising from limescale or water pressure are covered under the warranty.

Installation must be performed by an authorized service. This is because the authorized service will measure the mains water pressure and hardness (limescale level) before installation to ensure a correct setup. A device with a pump is recommended for low-pressure areas, while a pressure reducer is recommended and should be installed in high-pressure areas.
